I worked at Adecco part-time for less than a year

    Pros

£10.50 an hour was more than any other nearby warehouse jobs. My line manager was nice to me and usually understanding when I was late or wanted to take time off. If you're from Eastern Europe, there are many others there like you so you can easily make new friends and connections. Good overtime pay.

    Cons

Working in a warehouse is incredibly boring and repetetive. After about 2 weeks you can do everything on auto-pilot (might be a pro as well as a con). The hours are long (10 hours) and you will have to do weekends. They provide breakfast and lunch, but it was overpriced for the low quality food given. If you make a few mistakes or aren't scanning at a fast enough rate, you will get a 'talking to' from a guy with an iPad who you've never met. If your performance doesn't improve then you may get fired. The music they played was the same crappy radio station everyday, and you were not allowed headphones or your own phones inside the warehouse.
