      I liked working for ARPM

      Pros

      People are nice and smart. You get a feeling of doing something valuable, of helping hundreds of people to learn finance while learning yourself. You also get to think a lot because the maths you're working with is quite complex.

      Cons

      The work entails not only intellectual challenges but also some chores. Since the company profile is education in finance, certain amount of time must be spent on delivery issues (creating slides, fixing typos, etc).

      Pros

      - Flexible work hours - Remote work - Touching a lot of econometric models

      Cons

      - small salary - 50 hours per week (net), usually more than that (non-paid) - working weekends - bad relations among employees - 5 days for holidays and 5 for vacation yearly - constant pressure with completely unrealistic deadlines - there is no research, all work is on their Lab and only once in while on digesting old books and papers - although you can see a lot of econometric models, you don't have time to deeply understand it - high (really high) fluctuation of people

      - none - I have to enter at least 5 words so that's why I'm writing this

      Cons

      - Micro-management - Low salary - TERRIBLE codebase (unreadable, buggy, and has all the bad practices you could imagine) - Terrible management - Weird system for tasks that you have to obey religiously - Stressful environment - No equipment provided - you have to work on your own equipment - There are no compensations or benefits - There's no work/life balance - they can call you anytime
