      Pros

      Job was completely miss-sold to me. Extremely long hours require to work and your superior will ask you to work even longer by coming earlier and leaving later or even weekends unpaid. Use your personal mobile for checking work emails evenings and weekends. Don't expect time off in lieu. No flexibility, no ability to improve anything and progress further. People seems don't communicate with each other and sometimes don't even know each other as there is no intranet which help you to get know people faces/names to settle in better. Unfriendly atmosphere. When you've left keep an eye on your salary what you will be paid might not what you expect to receive. Prepare for stressful experience and rude attitude.

      Pros

      A good learning curve for junior architects as a lot of CPD training is provided and there is a good variety of projects.

      Cons

      Shrewsbury senior office management were old school and bullies. Staff turnover was scary - every month there was somebody joining and leaving. Attitude to staff was very poor and often disrespectful. Architects work very long hours and weekends, most are suppressed, undervalued and live in fear of losing their jobs. Only selected few are given opportunity to get the right type of work needed to fully qualify. Most junior architects are treated as "CAD monkeys" and get paid little.

      Pros

      - Good working hours (9 to 5) - Good pay considering it's Part I - Great location in London office - Very tranquil environment - A very safe job - Very organised and structured - CPD appointed - period mentoring - Hong Kong projects are very excellent

      Cons

      - Extremely hierarchical (so Part I's are basically cad monkeying and cannot make much decision) - Not much design development and innovation - Staff can be bitter - repetitive tasks and routine - Not much site visiting, just drawing and no model making
