Pros

You will develop resilience You will bond with some coworkers through shared trauma You will learn what not to do in your next job

Cons

This place runs on confusion, panic, and whatever half-baked idea leadership woke up with that morning. There are no processes—only vibes. Expectations change constantly, but you’re somehow supposed to know the new rules before they’re announced. Management talks about “accountability” while actively dodging it like it’s contagious. Communication is either nonexistent or aggressively passive-aggressive. Training is a myth. Feedback is ignored unless it’s praise directed upward. Work-life balance is a joke told during onboarding. Burnout isn’t a risk—it’s the business model. Morale is so low that even the coffee has given up. If you enjoy being blamed for systemic failures, watching leadership fail upward, and being told to “stay positive” while everything actively collapses, you’ll feel right at home.

Pros

Wonderful teammates. Everyone is willing to go above and beyond to help you. Fully remote work, and opportunities to get multiple Workday certifications.

Cons

Lacking processes and methodology. The company is over 7 years old but has no processes in place, creating more work that is constantly being recreated vs. being reused. Constant turnover, so projects are left undone. Upper management plays favoritism, regarding promotional opportunities, salary, and even the projects you're placed on. No growth opportunities unless people leave, and you're forced to do a job. Lacking company culture. The company offers unlimited PTO, however, PTO counts against you. If you take time off, you probably won't hit your bonus.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. At Alchemy, our employees are our top priority, and we grow and improve with your continued feedback. We are saddened to learn that you are having a less-than-positive experience, especially as it relates to Alchemy’s culture. We regularly survey employees and the feedback on culture is overwhelmingly positive. This includes scoring 94-95% on culture with our Great Place to Work survey multiple years in a row. Also, through internal surveys and market research, we have found that our PTO policy is competitive and attractive within the Professional Services space. We will look to provide more education on how to take full advantage of this benefit. As for your feedback about processes, methodology, and career opportunities, we thank you for your honesty. Over the last few years, we have invested heavily in these areas and will take these concerns to senior leadership. If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to have an open and honest conversation with your manager or our People team about your concerns. We would like the opportunity to address them. Thank you again.

Pros

Alchemy's size and reputation drew me to the company, but the people are the reason you want to be here. Everyone is so kind and helpful; they made getting acclimated a breeze. Teams work together really well with a common goal of making things better for each other and for customers. Also, the company added a lot of new benefits in 2022. It's nice to see leadership investing in employees and the business.

Cons

High performers are spread a little thin, and I wouldn't mind more communication from leaders.
