Pros

Great creative direction with beautiful product and a rich history. Nice staff discounts and allowances.

Cons

Poor management in the PR team, which consisted of being undermined and bullied on a daily basis. There was never any transparent conversation or friendly attitude within the team. Having a friendly, personable team is imperative when working in PR, however I was managed by someone that would bark orders and dismiss you with the wave of a hand. All my hard work was taken credit for and I just left each day feeling miserable and undervalued.

Downward spiral

Pros

Most of the colleagues I worked with, and my manager in particular, were almost always friendly, courteous and fun to work with. The brand itself, its history and heritage, is interesting and a strong pull for most new starters.

Cons

The current CEO operates like a dictator with no interest in the wellbeing of the workforce. The brand is shifting its identity in, in my opinion, the wrong direction. The past 2 years have seen a huge staff turnover, with many formerly loyal dunhill lovers either leaving due to dissilusionment with the brand (my reason) or being forced out. Internal communication is now almost non-existant, and with so many new starters all the time nobody knows where to go for information or help - performing my job became extremely difficult. While the current CEO is in charge I would not recommend working for this brand.
