I have been working at Amey full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good exposure to different sectors of the company. Friendly staff and lots of opportunities if you are willing to take initiative.

    Cons

Wouldn't suit people who are proactive in getting what they want. You tend to have to actively ask and dig to find things out and seek out opportunity.

    Pros

It is a good company to work for in respect of the work load and company benefits

    Cons

it can be all over the country so if you have a family or get home sick it could potentially be a problem

I worked at Amey full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    1. Flexible working 2. Great office 3. Some employee in Amey strategic consulting is still friendly and helpful.

    Cons

    1. You may be asked to do the internal work such as IT, recruitment and resourcing, etc. What's worse, the manager will ask you to book your time on the client project and it is rare to receive the BASIC respect even you kindly work extra hours on internal project. 2. There are very few machine learning related project and remaining data science projects are just heavy analysis (or even worse). People are on the bench for a long time because of the lack of project and the budget to do any innovation is very LIMITED. 3. As Ferrovial is selling Amey, the high-level of Amey is fighting for grabbing resources internally and others are in low morale. Some line managers won't talk to line managees for more than 3 months and have no willing to understand their work. In order to make a beautiful finance report last year, the TRAINING WAS CANCELLED and the margin requirement is very high, which led a huge pressure to PMs

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Amey full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Competitive salaries if you are qualified and definitely a decent focus on training and career progression.

    Cons

There is a very high turnover in the company as it is in the process of being sold and due to the company being so big sometimes employees don't feel very valued and bosses generally aren't able to go out of their way to keep people.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to portray a better public image and invest more in students.
