Micromanagement company

Pros

Opportunity to work on different domains of applications. If you do not have experience, it can be fine for a short term time only.

Cons

Favoritism among employees. Poor management (lot of micromanagement). No work from home/no flexible hours. High rate of turnover (only employs fresh graduated students). Bad working/life balance. Unhealthy work environment/unfriendly atmosphere. No recognition and trust towards employees. Most of project leaders have left the company as they were constantly overruled by the top hierarchy. Same for some key senior engineers as well. Engineers do not have opportunity to create and innovate properly. They are pressed to work quickly at the price of quality.

Stressful environment and toxic culture

Pros

• Good start for bachelor/master graduates with some basic IC background, since due to the company's small size you are entrusted quite early with complicated and advanced designs. • Good diversity of projects and clients (which unfortunately is slowly dropping)

Cons

• AnSem's biggest flaw is its management team. With extreme lack of empathy, common sense, and realistic goal mindset, there are two main outcomes. High workforce leaving rate and project mismanagement. • The high leaving rate results mostly in senior positions remaining vacant for long periods of time, and the project demands, and stress being shared among few employees with very little experience. • Although graduates can dive into advanced designs fast, there is no guidance from senior designers or team/project leaders, since they are too busy themselves with their never-ending list of tasks. • Favoritism is manifested especially when it comes to promotions and project resource allocation. • Minimum flexibility to work schedule. If you have doctor or family emergencies – which in other companies can be easily incorporated into your work schedule – you are required to take days-off. Working from home is allowed 1-2 times per month, under strict conditions, in order to discourage employees. • Compensation is poor compared to the effort employees put in.

Pros

Great for young graduates who want to learn analog design in CMOS. Wide variety of projects, good quality system shows you how it should be done. Possibility for rapid advancement if only to replace those that leave.

Cons

Typical consulting sweatshop . Poor respect for customers and none for employees. Penny pinching / micromanagement from Management team. You will get plenty of responsibility and zero authority.
