Pros

There aren't any good reasons to work at ExactCare. Unfortunately, I'm not saying that to be bitter or angry; I left on my own accord and very peacefully. I'm saying that because it is true.

Cons

One of the biggest cons is favoritism. If you don't hang out with the right people, you won't work out well in the company. Another is pay. You'll be told that they are competitive with salaries and such, but they will low-ball you with your starting rate and with "raises." Management is absolutely horrid. Most of the senior leaders are the worst managers I've worked with in my entire pharmacy career. Employees are 110% overworked. You'll be expected to do your job, as well as 7 other things at one time. I knew people that would work 50+ hours a week that were not management or team leaders. Training is nonexistent. You are thrown to the wolves and harshly reprimanded for poor work as result. The list could go on and on.

Pros

The are a few people who care.

Cons

Favoritism because the owner lets it happen. There is a boss that has a bad reputation because he has hooked up with a lot of the employees and now one is pregnant. There are so many careless errors and no discipline or training in the cubes to change that. The only communication that is really given on a consistent basis is from HR, at least they try. If you are good you will more work to do while people hang out with their bosses after business hours do nothing. There is bullying, cliques, and people who are just rude to other employees in other departments which may be encouraged by their bosses laughter. I have worked in healthcare for a few years and I have never worked for such a poorly managed company. There are plenty of opinions shared on here. Everyone knows about this and the owner does nothing to make it better and the same manager is still making it hard for some and easy for his friends. I could not deal with the teenager mentality. If you are hoping to work with professionals you won't find them here.

Pros

Co-workers are great and act more like family and friends than just colleagues. Ample parking, new chairs and onsite weekly fast food.

Cons

Upper management is hired from outside the company on a routine basis which allows little to no chance for advancement. Certain members of senior leadership are always out of the building or are no where to be found. Other members have no clue how to manage the departments they are in charge of. Communication is horrible to say the least. To point out any problems or concerns is seen as being negative by management, SLT and ELT and you are then flagged as a problem. Employees are scared to voice their opinion as they don't want the recourse of being labeled as being negative. Programs that should be used to do your job are inadequate and consistantly not working properly.

Thank you for your sharing your perspective. We appreciate, encourage and welcome feedback from employees. ExactCare has an Open Door Policy. All employees have the right—and are encouraged—to speak freely with management about their job-related concerns. We urge employees to speak directly to their supervisors as a first step. If this is not appropriate to the situation or if an employee needs further support following this interaction, he/she is encouraged to speak with Human Resources. As our organizational needs change and shift, ExactCare does recruit experienced talent from within the health care industry—when needed—to fill gaps in our organization. This is a common hiring practice utilized by many companies when internal candidates are not qualified for open roles. ExactCare is committed to fostering the careers of our employees. In 2017, nearly 15% of our employees were promoted. And in 2018, we have already filled several open leadership roles from within the organization. If you are interested in further developing your career with ExactCare, we encourage you to speak with both your direct supervisor and Human Resources regarding a development plan. If you would like to further discuss your thoughts and ideas, we encourage you to speak with your direct supervisor or a member of the Human Resources team.
