Pros

- You get paid every 2 weeks - There's a coffee machine in the breakroom

Cons

- Low pay considering work - No information given until the last minute - Managers have no idea how to actually manage and just expect you to accomplish tasks with no support - Booked artist suck and are big nobodies - HR isn't in your favor at all and is instead protecting themselves -No actual time off, and your days off are never actually guaranteed -NV state minimums for PTO accrual rate (if you can actually get any time off) -Highest turnover rate I've ever experience in a work place -No EDR even with an 8+ shift, only food option is The Beast, which will back you up and their "employee discount" is a joke. Pretty much another way of getting the employee to spend money. - Employee parking situation changes every 2 weeks depending on any events. - Everyone is constantly looking to throw someone underneath the bus to make themselves appear grandiose. - "Disney" expectations with "great value" budget - BS toxic "we're a family" meetings - Music sucks

Their personal playground

Pros

It’s fun to look at. The management team in Las Vegas is superb, but they themselves seem stressed and miserable because of everything they have to do to make their bosses happy. F&B, Security, Attractions, Wild Muse, Wink World, etcetera all have great direct management, but it shows how stressed they constantly are all the way up to the department heads, who all put on a happy demeanor, but they clearly struggle with the demands. They are very inclusive of all peoples looks, lifestyle, race, sexual orientations, etc.

Cons

Nepotism to the MAX. CEO built this place to be his personal party spot. He hired his girlfriend to do creative stuff, which is just pathetic parties no one shows up to. I’ve heard that the head of marketing is related to the CEO’s ex wife some how, though I can’t confirm. The other main guy is the ex husband of the CEOs girlfriend. Another smattering of people are the CEO’s girlfriend’s high school friends. They all act better than everyone else. They claim they want to be like Disney but they are CHEAP and everything is poorly built on a budget. Despite poor customer satisfaction we still book terrible music acts and run terrible experiences like Brainstorm and Museum Fiasco. HR treats everyone like the enemy. They act like they are going to take care of stuff but then treat management like they screwed up but turn around and do the same to lower level staff. No one in this company that doesn’t have a C in their title is ever listened to, even if they are an expert in their field. This is mostly what is heard from people that are dealing with them directly, but it’s not a secret in this company that the top people screw everyone over by just doing whatever they want. They claim to love employee feedback, but no one gets an opinion out of the people who work in New York. They even did a “town hall” were they interviewed executives as if it was celebrities at a comic con panel, lobbing softballs to them the whole time. The marketing team is full of people who are constantly high or drunk at work, and they make everyone uncomfortable when they are around. Basically, it’s a playground for the “inner circle” and everyone else is expected to work their backsides off to make them happy. It seemed like this place was really doing something different when I joined. People seemed to love it and people working here seemed to like it. It unfortunately is a place where the best management is either miserable or just leaves because of the lack of support and crazy demands asked of them, which makes those of us under them just as miserable. I want to believe they will get their act together but I’m losing faith.

Pros

The environment, the atmosphere, the amazing people you will meet, open self-expression. Your coworkers will make the job 10x better because they embody what Area15 wants to create. The food is good but they don't pay enough for you to enjoy it

Cons

Terrible pay for the amount of responsibility they want to give you Most departments have no training since the senior employee has only been there for 3 months and also wasn't trained. Managers can't be bothered but will chew you out for not knowing better No benefits, no overtime Toxic Positivity Some departments are completely hostile work environments and management shrugs it off Inconsistent scheduling/No respect for your time Most of upper management is beyond incompetent and only got their job because they are friends with someone. The good managers end up leaving after constantly picking up everyones slack and not bring appreciated for it Nothing in the building is consistent, things are always breaking and not getting fixed in a timely manner. Floor staff is blamed for the issue when they are short staffed, overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated Regularly being a shoulder for someone to cry on from the stress
