Pros

awesome coworkers. loved our daily 1 hour, non profitable meetings we had every day. Loved getting to know our constantly new psychologists. Loved know they were forming an inside group to kick our others who worked so hard for them without compensation.

Cons

shadiness, secretive, will let you go for no reason. wrongful termination. over worked and job duties that did not fall under your job description. this place is not a place to work. they will screw you over with no remorse.

Pros

none honestly- The good reviews are FAKE! they strong arm current employees to write good reviews- do not work here.

Cons

I've watched Ascend go down hill for over a year now. Every other week there is a new policy, either removing our PTO, requiring us to work over 40 hours to make up time we were sick, no over time pay, no drive time, no admin time, no protection for when your client cancels left and right, no breaks during long sessions, barely get a lunch. It's really obvious they are only focusing on making money and it's gross. Limited training or support; unless you have one of the VERY few decent BCBAs you will not learn anything and you're basically on your own. "Leadership" is non-exsistent unless they create video snippets of what policy changes they are making this week and any feedback or concerns shared are not even heard let alone dismissed. No one knows what they're doing, including a lot of the BCBAs (if they even show up on telehealth once/week you're lucky). BCBAs and other staff will OPENLY discuss other staff members IN THEIR SESSIONS in a negative way; it's really not a professional agency whatsoever don't let them fool you.

Pros

I loved this place while I worked here, genuinely. I thought the management was great, I felt very supported and their training is long but it’s efficient, as they start you off with a buildable caseload. The pay is also very fair, in my eyes.

Cons

I got let go of day of without warning at all, for something that was not based off performance or was in the employee handbook (my direct boss confirmed this to me privately right before I was terminated). I was terminated on a 3 minute call and was sent on my way. I blamed myself and still respected the company, so I referred one of my friends to work here, as I had a positive experience with them while working. She was slated to start working with them and then was called less than a week before her start date, after paying for her licenses, and was told briefly that “due to management changes, she would not be needed” and they essentially terminated her prior to even starting. I have lost all respect for this company, and the “work life balance” they talk about so frequently must be because they terminate you out of nowhere, so you have all the time in the world for your life lol. They speak about company culture and valuing you as a clinician, but there’s a reason their turnover rate is so high. Please look elsewhere, your job is not safe. I know of 2 other members within this company that were with them for over a year and were also let go one minute to the next with no warning.
