Pros

Friendly and dedicated team. The office has a window.

Cons

When you first walk in to the office you are presented with a small box with 2 windows and feel like you have gone back in time. The office space was at max capacity and the director was adamant to fit more desks to avoid paying for a larger office space. Staff members were literally falling over each other. The director micromanages and requires a report on everything you do everyday and often past working hours. The director will speak negatively behind your back to team members. The director will publicly humiliate you in the office or in a full staff meetings. The director has no budget and has not invested in any HR. (yes, if you want to request holiday, you will need to print paper and leave it on his desk which often gets missed) Nothing is paid for despite working overtime at exhibitions you will not be able to claim expenses. If you are ill, the director will ask if you have a computer at home and want you to work despite him knowing you are not feeling well. Due to the director the staff turnover is incredibly high which means the team is chopping and changing every few months. There has been a complete staff churn within the last year with all new staff hired in 2025 apart from 1.

Pros

- Nice selection of shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from for lunch - Dog friendly office

Cons

- Issues with employees getting paid on time - No HR department - Very cliquey (e.g. Teams chats regularly set up with names intended to demean colleagues) - Customer data in breach of multiple GDPR and data protection requirements - Employees regularly required to purchase the software and hardware needed to perform their duties out of their own pocket, with no reimbursement from the company - Culture of workplace bullying, exacerbated by the MD, including but not limited to public dressing downs, mockery related to race, mockery related to gender, mockery related to disability, shouting, swearing and threatening/intimidating behaviour - Multiple platforms not properly integrated and/or fit for professional purposes - Expectation to work beyond contracted hours with no paid overtime - Nonchalant attitude to cybersecurity best practices, with no cybersecurity training provided - Employees expected to toe the line and maintain the status quo, with no willingness or ability from the MD to listen to new ideas

Pros

The wages are adequate. (But not worth the stressful environment you will be entering.) The office is dog friendly. The actual staff who work there are really nice people (however, due to high turnover, this statement may be obsolete in 6 months time.) There is some understanding given to the external mental health of staff, however the job itself outweighs that with the amount of mental health issues it causes.

Cons

The Managing Director manages through threats, belittling and fear throughout the office. The office environment is an extremely uncomfortable place when he is present. The high turnover of staff reflects an environment that destroys people mentally. Staff are given tasks far outside of their remit and are lambasted for the smallest of mistakes, leading to a culture where everyone is scared to speak up or show any sense of intuition, for fear of repercussions. The only praise ever given is to the sales team when a significant sale is made, otherwise they (and everyone else) are publicly humiliated and belittled on a daily basis. As the company is very small and there is no HR, this situation goes unopposed. Staff are often expected to work outside of their contracted hours (which are already 9-5:30) for no extra pay or thanks. I would not recommend this company to anyone in any role, for any length of time.
