Pros

Great people, and lots of opportunity to learn about technology.

Cons

Difficult customers (the demographic customer base is those that are technology challenged, and you're to coach these customers to use this technology, which can be very frustrating for both parties.) Little to no room for advancement. They don't pay well, and I never received a raise after working for them for over two years. Layoffs a week before Christmas. Constant change, with little to no communication of why, and leadership that has no set direction. It felt like a lot of movement that never really went anywhere.

Pros

I was part of the cleanse that occurred in Dec 2015. One would assume that I'm upset about that, but I'm not. From what I've heard, and based off of the recent reviews, Bask has gotten worse. A pro was definitely that they spared me from witnessing this company continue to decline. That other pros are: Dental insurance is amazing! I've never had such great coverage. If you are in need of good dental, and can tolerate the cons of working here, Bask is the place for you.

Cons

They laid off almost 50% of their employee base without prior notice. There was no specific reason other than, " We can no longer justify your position." The executive management team doesn't seem like they know which way is up. They hire unqualified managers or should I say, they promote unqualified managers. Why? Because there's noway someone that is qualified will accept what Bask pays. The culture is dying. There's almost like a heavy fog of dread and misery that flows in that office. Bask is also hiring to replace those that they laid off a few months back, but the pay is not competitive. You could make more working in fast food than you do working at Bask. The employees are underpaid, unappreciated, and oppressed.

Pros

Snacks are provided on a weekly basis and drinks are providing a couple times a month. Co-workers that always keep trying to stay smiling.

Cons

-Incompetent leadership with no direction. New CEO has taken all measures to remove whatever culture there used to be. -HR is unbelievably biased when it comes to being a non-biased party and treats certain employees outright rudely. -Bonus structures are made and once they can be achieved, they're restructured to be just out of reach to obtain. If you happen to be able to hit them again, they raise the standards again or take them away entirely. Just in the 2.5 years I was there, my bonus had been changed or removed at least a dozen times. -They praise and promote the salesmen who can lie the best. The entire bask business model is membership based and most new members don't even realize they are a member until they start getting billed. -They have so much corporate overhead from having too much management that they had to resort to firing over 30 employees right before Christmas. It's small company. You don't need so many managers that aren't actually making any money for the company. -The people who are actually the voice of the company and talk to the clients are the ones treated the worst. -no raise opportunity -general morale is always low. The people actually working the hardest get little to no praise.
