It's Minimum Wage

Pros

Good managers that help with every task needed, they do most of the work as well. They're dependable, nice, everyone is a team and is friends. As far as minimum wage jobs go, it's not that difficult. No multitasking or anything you would find in the food industry. Store managers are dedicated to the company values and mission statements, mine is always super enthusiastic and has fair judgement when handling complaints. Vendors will sometimes give you free beers and other beverages to taste test, super enjoyable I discovered my favorite IPA from this.

Cons

It's minimum wage. You stand a lot, company procedures require you to see and scan everyone's ID who doesn't look over 50. Plenty of people get in your face over this. Schedule fluctuate, it's a minimum wage position so only their most dedicated employees who have given more to the company have stable routines.

Pros

Talking to customers, many repeat customers and neighbors. Young coworkers are usually fun until they quit, cheap bad wine

Cons

Pressure on store managers to satisfy ever-changing, disorganized, penny-pinching “metrics.” Constant manpower churn due to low pay, unfulfilled signing bonuses, pay inequities, rotten hours. Hours are often only 12/hrs a week. More when your coworkers quit and you expected to fill in at their convenience. Don’t forget it’s minimum wage. There will be be no appreciation from the company for tenure, skills and knowledge, etc… You will still make minimum wage.

Pros

this was a pretty relaxed company to work for while I was a student. Our manager was nice but he showed favoritism.

Cons

They paid an average wage, definetly not enough to live off of. Lots of drama between coworkers and im not entirely sure why, as I was not involved.
