Growing pains

Pros

Immigrants in northern Virginia are eager to hire Blessinger attorneys so there is an endless clientele pool and the business will never go down. Roles are very entrepreneurial so you learn a lot and have a great deal of ownership over your work. Lots of guides and resources to help you learn about immigration law.

Cons

This firm is structured more like a sole practitioner's office with a support staff. There is no layered management, other managing partners, or HR to balance out the power dynamic in the office. The entire support staff seems extremely tense, beyond stressed, and terrified of the owner. This environment makes it incredibly difficult to communicate with one another but mostly, it prevents the firm from growing because management and power is not balanced and everyone is just working to make one person happy.

Thank you for your feedback. Blessinger Legal welcomes all employees to tell management of concerns they may have. Each department has a manager for their team. We also recognize that the nature of immigration law is very stressful at times. For this reason, we encourage our staff members to take leave throughout the year. Good luck to you!

Blessinger Legal encourages all employees to tell their supervisors if they feel disrespected or have any concerns at the office. We are sorry that you felt disrespected during your time at Blessinger Legal. We strive to create an inclusive, welcoming environment. As for hours, we encourage our staff members to leave on time and to let a supervisor know if they need help on a task.

Pros

The company provides a great opportunity to learn very quickly if you are able to endure the cons. Great staff.

Cons

Management is woefully unorganized, creates a hostile environment with extremely high turnover, and assigns an overwhelming amount of work to employees

Thank you for your feedback. Blessinger Legal has made significant changes in the last three years and now has a larger team. We welcome staff members to tell management whenever they are feeling overwhelmed so that we can address any concerns that a staff member may have while they are at the office. We also encourage employees to inform us when they feel they are in a hostile environment--we never want anyone to feel that way. Our employees are our best asset and we always want them to feel valued.
