Pros

Career opportunities for those who perform. A clear path on what is required to be successful. If you work hard and smart you are rewarded financially. Leadership cares about its employees. Fiscally responsible - no layoffs over COVID. Expanding which brings new opportunities.

Cons

It is a tough industry but a rewarding one. Change is methodical and well thought out so can take longer than some would like.

Pros

It is difficult to think of any. There is a midsummer party with terrible food.

Cons

Worst company I have every worked for. Constant oral sex jokes from the sales staff, intimidation and demands of after-hours work without compensation, completely pathetic internal technology. 50 Windows XP machines still running, and they sell themselves as a technology company. The staff is so overwhelmingly negative and depressed it is palatable when you walk in the building. There are no windows in the whole place. The noncompete you must sign upon hiring stipulates that any and all ideas you have during or after work hours are the property of the company. Salary for technical staff is 20 - 50% below market and no performance reviews happen. You may take vacation the 2nd and 3rd weeks of the month only, and you may not roll over vacation time year to year.

Thank you for your feedback. We here at Blue Technologies were surprised and alarmed to hear of inappropriate language and interactions that do not coincide with Blue's high standards of conduct. I have shared your feedback with HR, however, because I have not personally had any of the negative experiences you have had here at Blue, I would encourage you to directly or anonymously communicate your feelings with HR to ensure progress can take place to resolve your issues. Blue's President Paul Hanna has also reviewed your comments and strongly reiterates Blue's zero-tolerance policy for misconduct in the workplace. He would also remind you that he has always had an open door policy so that employees can ensure such serious concerns are prioritized at the very top. I also encourage anyone with concerns over his or her workload to express them directly to their manager. Many of us may feel overwhelmed now and then, and I encourage you to communicate with your manager when you have these feelings. Blue highly values the success of all our staff, and looks forward to the opportunity to work with you to enhance your career here. Our structure is designed to give you a dedicated team manager who can work with you one-on-one to build upon your personalized "Mutual Commitment" plan for success, begun at the start of your employment. To build upon that success, we do agree that investment in technology upgrades needs to be a company priority. As such, it is among upper management's key focuses for 2015. Their goal this year has been to identify areas that can be improved and roll out solutions based on employee feedback - and those already underway have been met with much excitement by our staff! We've begun a comprehensive technology upgrade plan that will continue throughout the year, upgrading both hardware (computers, etc.) and software (OnBase, etc.) throughout the Company. Other initiatives include ramped up quarterly trainings with in-house and industry experts, and annual reviews which stress professional growth and development. We look forward to discussing additional coming changes at our annual company event next week! We hope we can foster more communication with you to address the serious HR breaches you’ve alerted us to, as well as include you in the exciting changes Blue has been and will continue to undertake to continue building a work environment that is committed to excellence.

Pros

The training is tough and so is the job overall. It will take your sales game to another level. So use the company as a stepping stone to your next b2b job, but don't stay there and let them abuse you and stress you to death.

Cons

Disgusting level of politics/sexism, employees sleeping with each other etc., all that kinda mess. Rumor mill is always full there. There's more focus on drama than on doing actual work. Very stressful as a sales rep, hounding management with little or poor guidance. All the lies of "unlimited potential". Things are very limited as far as deals and money. Making a deal on their copiers takes a ridiculous amount of time and energy for such low commission. Literally you'll spend 20 hours driving, on the phone, sending emails, and have the notion of receiving a couple thousand dollars of commission on a machine you worked so hard to sell, but then to make a deal the management (without the reps permission) will slash the deal down so far that you won't make hardly any commission. It's so disheartening and demotivating it made me sick. The overall environment there is just weird. There was literally an email sent out about employees forgetting to flush the toilets, I mean, that's just weird. Who has time to write about stuff like that?

Thank you for your feedback. It pleases us that you recognize our training and sales process is World Class. We also agree and recognize that sales is a tough profession and this industry is no exception. We are not surprised to hear that rumors exist within our organization – it is something that most companies experience. We hope you shared this information with your manager while employed, in addition to, sharing your personal opinions and feelings during your exit interview so that they could be further explored. Last, we are very happy to confirm that every sales compensation program literally has “zero ceiling”, therefore, all sales opportunities have unlimited potential. We wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors and thank you for your past performance.
