Pros

Open to new ideas- The company is open to a variety of new ideas and approaches, small projects are encouraged with employees which give a sense of ownership and contribution. There's an encouragement of employees to leave a sense of legacy in the company and impact on how things are done in the future. Approachability- The owners are pretty humble and approachable despite having nearly 100 years of combined industry experience. This creates a trickle down effect among the leaders of the different departments. Culture- The culture is open, honest, real and healthy!! I've never before been asked by folks how I'm doing as much as I have in this company. There's a strong desire to maintain a healthy culture and they put in an effort in each relationship with their employees. Employee investment- The company invests heavily in their employees in certifications, additional training, mentorship, feedback, experiential enrichment, recreational events like BBQs and Breakfasts and there are opportunities for advancement outside of the field for field staff looking to move on or up from their position.

Cons

No PTO for field guides. Logistical issues with vehicles

Pros

I really loved working for Bluefire, the logistics director is amazing and really cares about his employees. It’s also a great job for those who don’t want an office job, you get to spend a lot of time out in the dessert and working with adolescents.

Cons

With working outside comes with working in poor weather conditions.
