Poor Pay, Poor Leadership

Pros

Great opportunity to make good connections with fellow team members and customers. If you fit into the clique and don’t need the money to pay bills you will do great here.

Cons

Upper management and Owner rule by intimidation and use social media to discipline and embarrass rather than training and addressing issues personally. There is very poor communication and a lack of being professional within the company. They attempt to portray that they are genuine & have good hearts but in reality they are heartless & it is very similar to working in a high school catty, gossipy atmosphere. Pay is very low with no potential to make what you are worth. They expect you to be fully engulfed in the “boho world” even outside of hours you work & you will be punished if boho isn’t your life even when your pay does not reward that kind of involvement. Some clothing is cute but very repetitive with a lack of variety & quality.

Dissapointing Management

Pros

There were some pros to working here. The hours are reasonable and flexible. Also the other stylists are usually very nice. Style teams support one another, if only because nobody likes the management. Atmosphere of the store is fun and relaxed sometimes, but other times the same behaviors are not acceptable.

Cons

Really poor pay and no benefits. The management is not involved most of the time and then randomly decides to find problems that are "major" (except they were never problems before). There is a serious cult-like attitude that the management take towards the company (the stylists often referred to this as "boho juice"). The clothes are cheaply made and most of them cannot be washed in the washing machine. There are almost no chances for pay raises or leadership positions.
