Pros

✔️ Great energy from young staff, and vibe strong amongst the (low paid) underlings. Travel for meetings and occassional access to parties a bonus. Build connections fast like everyone says.

Cons

At my time (and also from what I heard since) management got up to....hmm where to begin.... - Aggressive toward contracted workers in and out of the company - Cancel plans without good reasons - Cut corners - Burn through hired HR - Punch down by bullying they deem weak - Ignore regular working hours - Steal content, design, music to fit their aims - Change strategies endlessly and fire entire departments for fun - Have a racial blind spot - Negligent on mental health – so bad people left after years of service with barely a goodbye - Generally pretend they are better than others. I could go on + on honestly. They are generally overpaid and under-qualified people who have one thing in mind: profit! A good bit of PR spin in an industry magazine or an advertising award is more important than anything else to them. Workers are not. They spent months trumpeting a Manifesto that never came out. It would have been ignored on day one anyway. And what about the VR venue? The New York office? The mobile app? All gone without a trace of course and any backchat would be dealt with forcibly. If raking in huge money wasnt the goal, Boiler Room might not be considered as the toilet of music media, AKA the new Vice (not a compliment). But it is.

Pros

Good brand, free parties and East London office space.

Cons

CEO is a complete and utter moron - insecure, ego maniac who can't run a business His partner is responsible for financial failure of the company and as a result the redundancies that have happened yearly for the past 3 years is currently running the business into the ground. No strategy, no understanding of how to run a company, complete inability to make anything turn a profit. They are both universally mocked and hated by the staff and have no idea. All the smart people are leaving in droves.

Pros

- Some real talent and amazing people at the lower levels

Cons

- The aforementioned talented people are constantly ignored - hopeless and clueless management team - constant u-turns and bafflingly bad decision making - toxic culture and pressure from senior management - presents itself as a place where anyone can input when in fact this is the complete opposite. - Does not treat its staff well at all, constant pressure and layoffs due to senior management mistakes that they are not held accountable for. - No plan for any projects and bizarre focus on misguided projects and youth series has led to the company becoming an uncool and over commercialised mess.
