Pros

Nothing other than the IDEA of advocacy work for children with disabilities.

Cons

The owner is a terrible businessman, attorney, and advocate. 1 he tried to file a class action lawsuit from the state of NY as if that was possible. How in the hell does a lawyer not know you cannot file lawsuits outside of the state your licensed in. He doesn't care about anyone in his company and does not pay employees on time and if you ask about pay he passes the buck to his chief of staff who is a liar. They will tell you that there is a direct deposit option however it is not and you don't find that out until you accept the bait. I truly wish I never met Patrick Donohue and have every plan to work against anything he does to the education system. This is not a firm there is no HR and there is no office management. Just some corky guy trying to go up against the education system to get funding for his school.

Pros

You get litigation experience, you're around sweet children, and most of the attorneys and staff are pretty nice.

Cons

High turnover rate (for good reason in my opinion). Work environment can be toxic, at times failure by senior management to maintain or respect boundaries, pressure to do things on the job that one may not be comfortable with, lots of yelling and rudeness by senior management to employees, etc. Employees should be on guard to protect their law license. Some people may be fine working in a tough and aggressive environment like that, but for others who aren't, would not recommend.
