Pros

Working with a group of such smart and talented people. The culture fostered here is one of continuous learning and development. There is tons of opportunity to grow, to be brought into projects that help you expand your knowledge. There is a great level of clarity on careers paths and what is expected from you at every level. Equity and inclusion work is imbedded into every initiative which is really nice! Senior leaders are approachable

Pros

Strong leadership team that’s aligned in company vision and values. Great benefits and perks such as a generous learning budget, wellbeing fund, charity matching program and EAP. Programs in place to receive ongoing feedback, have regular 1:1s, and set development objectives.

Cons

The workload can be high at times and fast paced.

Pros

- Most of the people I worked with/for were awesome, hard-working individuals that I really enjoyed working with - Flexible working situation - Opportunity to put global, industry-leading companies on your resume

Cons

- Despite it being marketed as such, this is not really management consulting, but more project management. Despite the interview process involving a level of Excel analysis / modelling work, in my 1.5 years at the company, I was never presented with the opportunity to actually do this type of work. - Much of the effort is spent tracking down clients and asking for status updates on their work, and then reporting out to client engagement leaders. Found there was little to no strategic analysis required. - To advance, even on the "consulting" side, there is a lot of specialization required in very niche topics (e.g., signage, brand guidelines, etc.) that are not easily transferrable to other industries / jobs. - Found there was little communication of how well the company was actually doing and what my efforts on a given project were actually driving for the business. At much bigger firms I'd worked for, we were given an indication and report-out of company performance; seemingly, this would be even more important for a small company like BA that wants to drive buy-in from its employees.
