Lots of perks, but lots more negatives

Pros

Loads of great people who work there, free tickets and +1’s to shows, Christmas and summer parties, opportunities to work in different areas of events.

Cons

Toxic work culture, lots of egos, poor management, high turnaround, lack of transparency about the business. Bonuses were taken away from us even though we hit targets. Too much pressure from management on people lower down. There has been multiple comments about someone in higher management being bullyish and disrespectful, yet they are still working there. Broadwick have dismissed multiple people over ‘performance’ but hardly offer support and training.

Pros

- Pay is OK and there is a bonus scheme - Most junior and middle level employees are lovely

Cons

- Very fast paced, bordering on toxic, work environment. Constantly made to feel that if you dont stay late every day you arent working hard enough, expected to make the job your life - Some heads of department/directors are terrible at management and really need to work on their people skills - Very high staff turnover and most people you speak to are getting ready to quit - The infamous broadwick boys club, where nearly all the directors are men who have been friends for a long time, i know a lot of women at the company are unhappy but the 'lads' seem to do well... - Have no interest in becoming a modern work environment, absolutely no WFH even though everyone wants to - You only get 1 free ticket to the events, so if you get a +1 they still have to pay to go which I think is tight

Pros

Some free tickets. Venue teams get invited to some cool events by suppliers. Dog friendly in the head office.

Cons

At first glance, this place looks exciting and full of opportunity—but that illusion fades quickly once you’re inside. Aside from occasional event tickets, there are very few benefits. Pay is low, morale is worse, and turnover is constant. People regularly disappear overnight, fired with immediate effect for no longer “fitting business needs,” often without explanation or acknowledgment. Management is quick to promise progression, bonuses, and improvements, but just as quick to move the goalposts once targets are met. “Restructuring” is a frequent occurrence, sold as opportunity but enforced without choice. If you don’t accept the changes, your role is effectively gone. Favoritism runs deep. Some managers openly protect their favorites while systematically tearing down others. Many employees have resigned not because they wanted to leave, but because they were pushed to the point where quitting felt like the only option. Long hours are expected, yet reclaiming time off in lieu is often resisted. Remote work was taken away entirely. Speaking up about concerns is risky, anything you say can and will be used against you. What initially seems like a cool workplace is, in reality, defined by poor pay, broken promises, and a lack of basic respect for employees. It’s not an opportunity, it’s an experience you’re better off avoiding. It’s sad as there are some really lovely people here but the bad heavily outweighs the good.
