Beware of CEO

Pros

Health insurance benefit, employees NOT working in management

Cons

Beware of the CEO. He is the most arrogant and heartless CEO I have ever met. He takes care of his "own" meaning his children whom he has employed there (one which is useless - watches movies all day on computer). Don't accept a position working very closely to him. You will regret it.

Pros

The individuals are great. Benefits are good. RM is great at delegating all her assignments to her staff

Cons

Staff are 2 faced back stabbing bullies, this place has become a very prejudice place. The good environment that used to be, has been forgotten, that its not your home, it's the individuals home. These people come and sleep, steal, make themselves right at home, pay really stinks, upper management is always, buying new computers, they do not need, putting cameras every where, instead of giving staff a decent raise. Much nepotism, need to be in the click, to even be noticed, or to move up you need to do something..........

A true disappointment of an organization

Pros

The opportunity to serve people

Cons

Almost everything else... When I first read other Glassdoor reviews about CDS Life Transitions prior to my employment, I wrote off the negativity as sour grapes and assumed the author was mistaken.
I WAS WRONG.

Nepotism is rampant, and it is absolutely true that the CEO will look after the careers of his two children over other employees and the good of the company. Human Resources turns a blind eye to the complaints received about his daughter and son. His daughter really does watch a lot of TV at work, I was surprised to learn that was true.

Another review mentioned that the CEO is heartless. This is also true, and it is well known in the nonprofit community that he is a bully. He insults and berates his staff. Breaks contracts on a whim, and is genuinely unpleasant. You really will regret working close with him.
For a company that’s purpose is to serve vulnerable people they certainly don’t live up to that mission. They are embroiled in many lawsuits and have fired people in various protected classes. My advice- lawyer up.
