Pros

The only positive thing about CHMB is the employees are great to work with. If your local then the location is convenient and if you survive the 90 day probation period you get to work from home.

Cons

Ironically they claim they are INNOVATIVE PROCESSES HIGH VALUE OUTCOMES. Are you kidding me. There processes are out dated, system crashes all the time. Over work the managers. Very little training, except you to know the process before you even walk in the door. No clear direction whatsoever. Expect you to be a mind reader. DO NOT GIVE YOU THE TOOLS TO DO YOUR JOB EFFECTIVELY. They set you up for failure before you even get trained.

Unfair and Unethical!

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

The most disorganized and unethical company I've ever work for. They don't care about their employees. All they care about is getting the clients and making money. One example of how unfair and unethical they are is hiring and then laying off employees after months of employment. This seems to be a common practice for CHMB. The reason given to all these employees is always the same..."the position is being eliminated." The upper management do not provide the appropriate guidance and always blame the staff for everything. They do not take responsibility for their actions. Make sure you stay as far away from this company.

Pros

The biggest perk is being able to work form home. However, I strongly believe this is the reason employees are underpaid and overworked. Your schedule can be flexible but it depends on your manager and location of your client. The company provides food on occasion. However, most employees work from home and do not get to enjoy these perks.

Cons

Unrealistic workload. You're given a HUGE workload and expected to complete everything without any excuses, even if the system is down which happens almost every week. Although you're able to work from home, some positions require that you work from the office once per week to mail claims, print, etc. Parking is very limited & there are very few computers you're able to work from. You can only work from a "hoteling" desk and even if there's a completely vacant desk, the cords are removed which makes the desks useless. No holiday bonuses are given except for a turkey coupon for Thanksgiving. The company offers random gift card raffles that only benefit a few employees. I would NOT recommend working for this company unless working from home is important to you.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We are listening and we are striving to improve our current practices in order to make CHMB the best place to work. To be fully transparent, we have opened 2 new offices in Texas and Florida this year, and are planning on opening a 3rd new office in Wildomar, CA this summer to try and alleviate the overcrowding in the Escondido office (since a lot of Escondido employees actually live in the Temecula area). We have ramped up hiring for all of our offices over the past few months to spread the workload more evenly between employees with the hope that we can create a more positive environment free from unnecessary stress. The job of an AR Specialist is stressful enough and we appreciate what our AR team brings to the company because we truly wouldn't be in business without you. As far as pay goes, we strive to stay fair to internal equity to make sure that everyone is paid fairly based on their experience, education, certifications, etc. We also pay attention to current market rates for each position based on location and skills as well. Due to the fact that we are growing, we unfortunately cannot afford to pay top dollar at the moment due to a strict budget, but we are trying to make up for it by encouraging internal promotions, holding company events, and giving out referral bonuses as well as bonuses for helping to train new employees. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at JBlume@CHMBInc.com. I would be happy to help you.
