      Pros

      Recovery coaches helped each other out on a regular basis, it was a true team effort. Working for COPE was a great learning experience, especially for a first job out of college.

      Cons

      COPE would have benefited from improved communication between levels.

      Better prior to October 2015...Cenpatico brought out the worst in COPE

      When I first started at COPE, under CPSA, I was trained in a supportive, kind, friendly community. I learned a lot on the job and I was allowed to make mistakes as they were treated as learning experiences. When Cenpatico took over everything changed. I would only recommend staying at this job 6-12 months to fill out your resume. Then run.

      Cons

      Capitalistic expectations for client interactions, alienation between management, staff and clients (the expectations of the clients, the staff and management do not meet), negative outlook from staff towards clients and management due to burn out. Verbally harassed by management. Publicly shamed in front of peers if billing expectations were not met.
