I run one-on-one feedback sessions every quarter with each team member, where I hope to find out more about their concerns and career goals so that Canopy can help. I’m saddened that you didn’t share this with me during our confidential chat. Thanks for sharing your opinion, and I absolutely encourage you to reach out directly so we can address future concerns.
I consider our team to be the best in the world: hard working, filled with integrity, and wanting to change the world. I also hope that we have built an environment where people can share concerns and feedback. This post led to a very good and honest company-wide discussion.
If our teammates do not believe in what we do, we also want them to find a better opportunity for themselves. In this instance, we have decided to make a $2,500 bonus available if an employee wants to leave due to their lack of faith or interest in our company; we will also help them find a good opportunity.
