Pros

The counselors and nurses are great people.

Cons

It's an unsafe and filthy place to work. Caseloads are extremely large. Counselors are unable to schedule clients because management encourages an open door policy. This sets up a situation where clients who are truly committed to their recovery are constantly interrupted during their sessions or not seen at all. This situation sabotages those that are doing well and encourages poor boundaries with others. Counselors frequently have to work the front desk and handle large amounts of cash. Management strongly discourages staff from leaving the building during lunch. Business is solely profit focused. Clients aren't treated as human beings by some of management. Offices are basically small closets with no windows. Management does not provide the staff with the tools they need to do the job. It's almost all women. High turnover rate. You will have to walk thru a cloud of cigarette smoke to get inside the building every morning.

Pros

This type of business is needed to help fight addiction to opiates.

Cons

I also worked for this company and the two previous reviews are correct. The owners expect people with master's degrees to work for peanuts and to perform several roles such as take money from patients, clean the offices and try to counsel with all of their patients. All this for $16.00 hr. Both owners are unethical in practice and want to keep their patients addicted to methadone. It's the almighty dollar that counts not getting the patients well and drug free. They frowned on counselors helping their patients titrate off methadone and constantly hammered on us to keep the census up.

Pros

Getting off early in the day allows staff to still have a work/home life balance. Pay is comparible to most. Job is not physically ailing. Small business-most employees treat each other like family

Cons

For being a small company, management does not provide the encouraging leadership as one would hope but rather hostility at times. Uncomfortable work environment regarding attitudes management. Unfortunate because all other staff get along great. Does not want any of their employees to get over-time, even though staff is short handed. Healthcare benefits are expensive. Dental/vision/life are fair priced though. No oppurtunity for career growths
