Pros
Beautiful vessels that are well maintained, work on New York Harbor is fun, coworkers mostly get along very well and enjoy spending time together, no overcrowding on vessels, extremely diverse and inclusive environment especially compared to similar companies in the area. Tips are great, full time employees eligible for annual bonuses.
Cons
Disorganized, lower level employees largely manage themselves at all hours while managers work a regular 9-5 Mon-Fri, passengers can be disrespectful and are mostly tourists you will never see again, full time work hours are not guaranteed (no matter what they tell you when you are hired). Pay that would be competitive in any other city is barely enough to live in NYC.
