Pros

Coworkers are wonderful, hardworking, and most importantly, in the same boat as you! Atmosphere is fairly relaxed. Pay is fair for some (key word: some). The industry itself is interesting.

Cons

- There are individuals in upper management who are laughably unqualified - this is swept under the rug with a lot of talk but becomes evident pretty quickly - There is a distinct line in the sand between the select few upper management and everyone else - poor communication, passive aggression, and petty behavior, oh my! - COVID was handled horribly - the seriousness of the pandemic was mocked and those who chose to work from home were treated poorly - Diversity is a joke . The comments made by some of upper management would never fly in a company with real accountability - Lower level employees are not heard or taken seriously in their concerns, nor are they trusted with their jobs and integrity - Sales team are the stars - rest of the team is undervalued, underprioritized - Money is weirdly wasted in some areas while belts tighten for things that matter - The CEO and COO are spouses and this can create some subtle toxicity and discomfort

Negligent & Incompetent Leadership

Pros

Build your resume by wearing lots of hats in a short time. If you don’t genuinely care about the quality of your work you can comfortably work here and just get a paycheck.

Cons

Management and leadership are not receptive to feedback and claim to have a “family” environment throughout the company when they really don’t speak to employees outside of leadership positions unless they have to. Some positions are filled by HIGHLY unqualified individuals just because they’ve been with the company for a few years. Diversity and inclusion are lacking greatly. Working across departments is nearly impossible because a culture of clear communication is non-existent at this company. Feedback on work is often disrespectful and condescending rather than constructive.

Lack of care from management

Pros

Good coworkers, high-end software and technology

Cons

Management does not care for employees, does not allow sick days of COVID-19 safety protocol, is highly discouraging of work from home, is passive-aggressive. The sales team seems to reap benefits, but the rest of the office team is left behind. There is no opportunity for a raise or moving up in the company. When management hears employee concerns, they do not listen. At one point they even told us to bring our own paper products to work because they would not pay for them anymore. There is a large divide between inner office teams, and the culture heavily focuses on the sales team.
