This company screwed me over on a few occasions. First, before I was hired, I was told I’d need to come in for one Saturday a month. After being hired my schedule was immediately switched to Tuesday-Saturday. Which is totally fine but just be honest up front.
Second, I was told that there would be reimbursement for any weather related conditions if it affected me getting to work. Well my third day there was a snow storm and I racked up $50 in Uber rides. I tried talking to two different people on 3 different occasions and got put through the ringer and eventually gave up.
Third, on my second week the ceo walked in and without any hello or “how’s the second week going,” just said, “where my first project was.” There were initial setbacks because someone else started the project in the wrong order.
Fourthly, they use one computer up front for employees to clock in and out from (this may have changed by now though). Oftentimes timesheets would be wrong because who in this day and age makes employees clock in and out for breaks and have to use the front computer that may be in use if there’s a customer? I was told on two occasions that the person responsible to fix these errors didn’t like doing it even though he was a manager. At times i had to remind them and pull a few teeth.
