Cochran is by far the most unprofessional and unwelcoming company I’ve ever been a part of. There were so many red flags during the interview process that, in hindsight, should have been clear indicators of how toxic the culture truly was. From day one, the disorganization was evident. I arrived with no laptop, keyboard, mouse, or any necessary technology to begin my work. When I finally received my laptop, none of the required software was installed, forcing me to go through multiple third-party IT requests and endless emails to leadership just to get basic approvals. It took months to gain access to essential marketing tools and programs for my role. My supervisor, who was constantly "traveling," was nearly impossible to reach on a typical weekday, yet every piece of work required her approval, many of which either got lost in email chains or were never acknowledged. I was also promised several benefits upon accepting the offer, such as remote workdays, access to company vehicles, and gas reimbursement for travel, but none of these were honored once I started. The leadership is completely unqualified, making it impossible to perform even the most basic aspects of the job. Communication is nonexistent, no one responds to emails, no one utilizes proper communication channels, and the entire company operates on outdated technology and software. The negativity among colleagues is rampant, with constant pushback, gossip, and incompetence across the board. On top of that, the different offices treat each other like competition, further contributing to the toxic atmosphere. I was even advised not to “bother” the engineers because they were “too busy.” Every single day felt like a struggle, and I am beyond relieved to have left that nightmare behind. Best of luck to whomever begins work here, you’re going to need it.
