Hypocrites and bullies

Pros

There are no benfits to working at Convatec.

Cons

Awful place to work. Always passing the blame and responsibility to most junior person on teams when it should be management taking responsibility. All talk, no action. To get to management you have to be a "yes" man, but that doesn't make innovative products or progress. Keep people down on temporary/agency contracts where you have no employment rights or benefits. pushing to meet ambitious deadlines making people work unpaid overtime and cutting corners with compliance.

Pros

Was a company founded on great products, strong innovation and a genuine regard for the welfare of staff and patients

Cons

The company consistently made excuses to avoid compliance and had a declining regard for quality. A number of potential safety issues have sat open for months at a time even when informed directly to senior management.

Pros

The people are nice, they will share your frustration

Cons

Career progression is virtually non existent, there is so much push back, that you have to be already operating way above your pay grade, for a long time, to get compensated accurately. The mid to senior management teams are paralyzed by a lack of confidence, which leads to ineffective and indecisive "strategy" (there is no strategy). Design is not represented at a senior level, so real innovation is avoided in favour of incremental change, despite the top level communication. Sadly, in R&D, hands are tied, voices are ignored, and the teams are stressed (I mean take months off work because of stress) and disenfranchised. They leave, they use their talent, they encourage their former teammates to leave. CEOs come and go, but the culture of conservative, repetitive lack of confidence continues and consumes every creative contribuyer until they capitulate or quit.
