Good salary poor leadership and culture

Pros

Salary ranges are really competitive. Be sure to negotiate in the offer stage because there are no raises or adjustments after being hired. Exciting industry with a lot of investment going into the business. If you’re an executive or in sales, the compensation is extreme. Opportunity to get promoted within your role.

Cons

You will grow a lot but your work/life balance and relationships outside of work will suffer. Senior executives are disconnected from the business and employees. A lot of pressure is on employees for declining business performance and poorly planned transformation. No salary increases due to business performance. Low transparency and trust. Politics come before integrity. This is a private equity company, so people and sustainability are not priorities. Employee engagement is in decline, so not a great culture or work environment. Doing good for society and diversity, equity, and inclusion are not priorities.

Shocking

Pros

Good salary and average benefit scheme

Cons

Discriminative against existing staff, do not value their input on business projects/decision making exercises and Focus on hiring external instead of leveraging the talent from within. Management do not understand our complex business, expect simple “out of the box” solutions to suffice without evaluating the greater impact to clients. Significant delays in repaying staff out of pocket expenses. Goal to be $1BN business chosen by CEO because it was a “nice, round number”. Paying too much for consultants to tell them how to run the company instead of understanding how the business works themselves and run the business like they are being paid to do.
