Pros

Beautiful building with free drinks.

Cons

Initially the company seemed adamant about keeping their employees and promoting internal growth. However, over the last year the morale of this company has steadily declined. This company has NO work-life balance. Here you will find an incompetent COO who's only doing what she is told, rather than actually using her voice to speak up about the future of the company. There are micro-managers who are extremely insecure, nosy (from PTO requests to digging into your personal life), incompetent of actually processing their own work and often brushes their corrections under the rug but calls out others constantly. Simply managers are managers there because they refuse to leave not because they're capable of actually managing. If you speak to a director about your manager's performance they ignore it and instead points out your imperfections. Then you have another director that's extremely intelligent, however, out of touch when it comes to employees raising concerns about poor management. The vice-president of the company would serve better as the COO. HR is oblivious to it all (keep them at arm's length they cannot be trusted either). As of recently this company has been living a lie, upper management fail to face reality of how horrible the company have become. Every great employee has either left or still thinking of an escape route to get out of that hell hole. The culture of the company is very toxic and will literally make you go crazy. The company was planning to do a major platform change to use their sister company's software. However, before I left training was still unclear, upper-management has been working on this for years and from my understanding the transition has been far from seamless. Meet WIRB 2.0!! If you're reading this I highly suggest you R-U-N. If you're a client reading this I apologize that you were not told this sooner. I suggest that you find another IRB if you have forthcoming deadlines to be met. P.S - I am thankful for no longer an employee of this 'organization' and that I departed long before they hit rock bottom.

Used to be a Good Company

Pros

Good benefits, good pay.

Cons

This company used to be almost like a family - everyone used to look out for each other and work together as a team. Now, the company is very divided. Operations is it's own entity and management has let them down on several occasions. There is no support or transparency from management - they keep a ton of secrets instead of being open with the operations team when it comes to decisions and things that directly affect them. Hiring takes forever - when a team that used to have 12 employees becomes a team with 6, they need help. It shouldn't take months to hire employees when there is both an urgent need AND available people within the company who are willing to join the team immediately. Operations is told to work extensive hours and get little to no recognition or compensation for the amount of work that they put in. When the company started, and even years later when I joined, we had amazing people with great skill sets working here. These great people have become tired, overworked, and under-appreciated. Now, the morale throughout the teams is at an all time low.

Pros

Benefits package is better than larger companies like PPD. People at the office are ( With some minor exceptions) great to work with.

Cons

Pay is on average $10k under market vs competitors or clients ( the high turnover is usually employees going to work for the company's clients because the workload is less and the pay is more. Since the acquisition and subsequent ReCap, grand sweeping decisions directed by a CEO that has no clue how badly he is driving this ship into the rocks ahead. The software our clients use is developed in a " agile environment " and while everyone uses the term, no one understands how it works. This has caused us the office workers that deal with the clients all manner of headaches when things break on the regular. They have recently forced out all of the original IT team that supported us, and while the new team is good, it's clear that whatever tribal knowledge the old team had, it did not get passed on. The office morale is at an all time low, people don't talk to eachother, every department is quiet like a tomb save the clicking of keystrokes. Some managers that have been there for seemingly ever prefer this behavior under the thought that " if you have time to talk, you have time to do more work".
