Pros
For seven years, the company provided a stable and rewarding work environment. Salaries were always paid on time, and pay raises followed a fair and consistent pattern. The offices were modern and well equipped, which supported daily productivity. The role offered strong opportunities for technical growth and skill development, allowing employees to gain new experience and evolve professionally. Working for a well known brand added real value to my career and created pride in being part of the organization. The job itself was engaging, with clear responsibilities and frequent interaction across different departments, which kept the work dynamic and meaningful. I could honestly see myself completing my career there.
Cons
That future ended because of one deeply toxic individual in the department, enabled by another and tolerated by management. This person lacked both the skills and the will to manage people. The working environment became hostile and unstable, pushing new employees to leave within weeks of being hired. Upper management appeared disconnected from reality, relying on false reports, fake performance metrics, and polite smiles instead of addressing real issues inside the IT department. Problems were consistently hidden rather than solved. There was no attempt to correct the behaviour or protect the team. When a company accepts this level of dysfunction, the damage spreads quietly until it becomes impossible to ignore.
