I was really unimpressed by Credera's hiring practices.
Last year I was interviewing for jobs, and had a couple of offers, one of which was Credera. I accepted the role at Credera, as (on paper) it looked like the better role. So I signed the contract and was excited to start. The role wasn't supposed to start until about 4 months after the offer date, so I decided to have a break from work for that time and then relocated to Manchester as I was not living there at the time.
Shortly before the role was supposed to start (about 2 months), I received a phone call from Credera that they were not taking in any new employees for the role I had been offered (and had a signed contract for) at that time, and that they would be delaying it by 9 months. So I re-signed a contract for the new start date.
I (maybe naively) believed Credera, and decided to take on temporary work in that time, rather than work in software development as I thought it could potentially take me much longer to find work in that field and I needed to find work quickly.
Anyway, when it was about 3 months before the new start date (6 months after when I should have started), they rang to say that they weren't taking any employees in for that role and that I should find other work.
Overall it was an incredibly negative experience, and I feel like Credera has set me back a bit in my career timewise, as I had turned down other good jobs in favour of the job they offered, which ultimately did not exist. I was really disappointed as I had been really excited to start my career in software development and the advertised job had looked great, and Credera had really positive reviews on Glassdoor.
From reading recent reviews, they've been making redundancies and so I imagine that's why they stopped taking in new people at junior level. I think if that is the case it is unethical to offer the roles, and then also to keep delaying the start date when there is a chance that the job will not exist. I have seen other reviews on here to tell a similar story, so it looks like I was not alone in this experience.
