Pros

Decent pay, lovely colleagues (for the most part). I was promoted three times because my colleagues championed me and believed in my potential.

Cons

Senior management is dreadful. This is the problem - everything stems from poor decisions, outdated ideas and lack of cohesion with the staff. The company is owned and managed by an elderly couple who are seriously out of touch with modern business practices. People are hired into senior positions and then blocked from using their often significant expertise. There is nobody to speak with in confidence, no way to raise concerns without risking being fired - I spoke out because of more robust employee rights. I was at the company for 3 years and contributed a huge amount and built great relationships with colleagues and clients alike; I truly cared about what I did. The CEO didn’t say or write a word to me when I resigned, not even to acknowledge that I had decided to leave. That says a lot in my opinion. It’s a shame - the company has potential but will never flourish as it is.

Pros

The majority of coworkers are friendly, but there's a tendency for everyone to work independently, focusing solely on their own tasks.

Cons

The leadership is old and really out of touch. They hire and fire people without giving any heads-up and make up excuses about why they leave. They don't tell us what's really going on. Despite their claims of valuing diverse cultures, the bosses fail to demonstrate any empathy. The workload is overwhelming, yet they remain oblivious to it. In addition, the company has been losing money for a long time and can't afford to make the changes needed to improve. Honestly, it's probably best to look for a job somewhere else.

Pros

The overall atmosphere was energetic and optimistic about the company's mission.

Cons

Management was incompetent, plain and simple. They were NEVER clear about what your objectives were and they constantly made you feel like you were doing a terrible job, regardless of any praise you would receive from their clients. Furthermore, they expected you to do tasks which either belonged to other people and weren't part of your job description, or tasks that you weren't trained to do. The subject matter was remarkably interesting; the higher-ups and politics of the company, however, were less than unremarkable.
