Pros

- Very nice people - Great customer base and product market fit - Lots of room to grow and improve in your role, growth and innovation is encouraged

Cons

- Company is led by CEO who is a nice person but is very influenced by whatever is most interesting to him at that time instead of actual strategy. Does not listen to the opinion of the people that work under him if they do not match his ideas which causes tension - Concern about direction because of that

Thanks so much for taking time to give feedback! I love that you enjoyed the encouragement for growth and innovation at Curate! I do appreciate your candor around building strategy. It was an extra voice helping us to be better! One of the new things we did in 2023 was to begin Annual and quarterly strategy meetings. We brought the whole leadership team together in-person in January and worked through getting alignment about the most important things for Curate. Our leadership team absolutely knocked it out of the park and came away energize with three key endeavors that we are focusing on. We're about to launch a key piece of that this month that is going to be revolutionary for our customers and company! We do appreciate your work and the impact that you made on our customers during your time here!

Pros

-Good leadership team -Loyal customer base with clear product market fit -Generally, no micro management -People work hard here

Cons

-Avg work is accepted in a regular basis. -CEO is one of those leaders that post on LinkedIn about how to be a great leader rather than build a great company -Leadership team is stifled by how things have been done vs how high growth companies work -Limited TAM and marketing regularly has to create nonsense urgency to hit targets -If you disagree with a strategy, CEO will make sure you are your ideas are minimized or you are fired. -Misguided PLG strategy -Health benefits for families are a joke

Thanks so much for taking time to give feedback. We do appreciate your feedback on the health benefits for families. TBH...you were the first family with a large number of kids that we had at Curate so it was a new subject we hadn't worked with. Because of your feedback, we were able to get a dramatically better new Health Insurance offering that assisted families better. To be frank, your comment on here about LinkedIn sounds like you were still in a bad spot a year after you transitioned out of the company - especially since I rarely post on LinkedIn. I hate it if my actions led to where you're at. To the point of the nonsense urgency to hit targets: you were our VP of Sales. It became urgent when our August 2021 new revenue was less than the previous year. The previous year when we had no VP of sales in place and we were selling into the event industry in the middle of 2020. With your direction, we nearly doubled our total compensation package for our sales team members - which would have been a positive but new revenue didn't follow. Unfortunately, we do have to look at the ROI being driven by roles and departments as they drive that urgency. Thanks for taking time to put this review up and I wish that things had turned out differently during your time here. -Ryan

Pros

I love my job. The work is fulfilling, the benefits are great, management is exceptional. The work is very challenging but not to the point that it becomes a burden to my well-being or family time. I feel pushed (but not shoved) to learn and grow. Both my immediate team and the company as a whole gets along very well. Everyone is understanding and empathetic with each other. The benefits are pretty good. We have an unlimited vacation policy. But not one of those that tricks you into not taking any time off. We actually get a bonus for taking time off each quarter. The management is the best part though. They have an open ear and care for the employees. When feedback is left, that feedback is heard and action is taken. It is obvious that the leaders in the company want to grow themselves and the company and the employees. They make things better all the time. I am grateful to work here and look forward to being here for a long time to come.

Cons

Not much. Really the only thing is that the health insurance offering could be better. It's very expensive for families and the deductibles and max-out-of-pockets are high for the 'cheaper' plans

We appreciate your feedback!! And we hope the new benefit offerings that we rolled out in 2022, along with increasing employer contributions toward premiums, has had a positive impact.
