Pros

The ability to work remotely was one of the biggest pluses; the other being the truly talented group of individuals (below c-suite) who gave their all and although it was a remote job many of us managed to connect and develop meaningful work relationships.

Cons

I should have realized when the company made it a part of their 90 day onboarding task to complete a Glassdoor review that something might be off. I have seen the COO’s responses in Reddit asking why now all these anonymous Glassdoor reviews are coming in, referring to disgruntled employees — well that is because it is way past the 90 day mark and all that glittered is certainly not gold. The product for one. Forbes 30 under 30 should do a follow up for those who won in previous years — because the idea of what Curebase and its product was in comparison to what it actually is — ineffective, the engineering and implementations departments constantly have tickets for bugs and issues, and over all it is just a poor platform. The overall treatment during the layoffs was something I’ve never witnessed before and is one of the must dehumanizing and impersonal exchanges from the CEO.

Pros

Unlimited PTO and decent salary ranges. You can wear multiple hats. Ultimately this means working excessive hours and duties outside of your scope, but this can also serve as a learning opportunity and strengthen your resume/experience for better opportunities and companies.

Cons

Curebase recently laid off nearly 20% of staff months after receiving $40 million in Series B funding and 6 weeks after taking most of the company to Cancun, seems like a mismanagement of funding to me. After the near 20% of staff was notified of layoffs their computers were wiped remotely. The CEO then goes on an All Hands call with the remaining team and has the audacity to say Curebase is still in a great financial standpoint and that the client base and repeat business is growing dramatically. I cannot believe how remarkably off putting it was to hear that statement after seeing friends getting laid off with no warning. If the company was in such a good financial position don't lay off 20% of staff and instead save money by not spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an unnecessary trip to Mexico. It seems to me that there's gross mismanagement on all parties at the executive level and bad advice being given all around. I would not recommend working at Curebase if you are looking for stable working hours, job security, or standardized processes. There also seems to be quite a bit of nepotism and favoritism for employees who came from a specific small CRO. They seem to all be best friends and constantly giving each other promotions.
