    Very well-rounded and helpful co-workers, very flat structure with easy access to heads of the trading floor, great client relationships, good mentorship program (can vary by desk/team)

    Cons

    Internal mobility unorganised, operational and technology difficulties, doesn't value other business functions as strongly (HR, Risk, etc.)

    Keep listening to employees like you do

    Pros

    Great culture and great people, DB is certainly an employer of choice for the region and attracts some of the best talent there is.

    Cons

    Highly political and is being influenced more and more by German/EU regulators, but no different than any bank and their primary/home regulators.

    Advice to Management

    Recognise and reward excellence to ensure retention of top talent.

    Poor career progression
    Too hierarchical/bureaucratic
    Too IT Vendor/Contractor heavy; no real definitive culture
    No clear defined strategy. Too much focus on cost-cutting

    Advice to Management

    Foster a culture of innovation (not just lip service)
    Establish framework to develop and promote 'home grown' talent. Tendency to outsource, rather than leverage existing talent pool

    - bad /toxic environment
    - they expect people to work like horses
    - you feel soul-less
    - lots of people have quit with anxiety and depression

    pay is better than other banks

    fix the culture!
