    Pros

Have provided a number of opportunities internally for me throughout the years

    Cons

Increases in regulation and continuous changes in management has made it difficult to do anything and for a big loss of talent.

    Advice to Management

Too much decision making by committee.

"No longer the place for ambitious juniors"

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities for juniors to take on a lot of responsibility quickly. Colleagues are intelligent and hard working.

    Cons

Divisional mergers have resulted in overcrowding of Directors/VPs in several teams, actually taking work away from juniors in some cases. Unnecessary management layers, increasing barriers to promotion, and zero performance-related bonus for employees below VP level make DB a wasted venture for any Finance Analyst-AVP with ambition. A lot of stress and responsibility for zero rewards. Morale is low across the bank.

    Advice to Management

Cutting costs by stripping juniors of promotions and financial incentives, even inflationary base increases, is absurd given there is a fat layer of unecessary middle managers that have hardly been touched in recent redundancy rounds. The industry is changing, but without conscious efforts to retain talent across all corporate titles, the onshore CFO teams will soon consist only of the least mobile VPs and Directors.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time

    Pros

Challenging environment where we get the opportunity to learn lots of new stuffs
High starting salary & competitive benefits in terms of medical and pension insurance - clearly above market rate

    Cons

Communication from management to staffs need to be improved

    Advice to Management

Management needs to work on the promotion process and try to make it more transparent
Despite having a high starting salary, there is almost no increase in later years which clearly acts as a disincentive to employees
