While the company has been around for many years, its almost entirely self-funded so the team is small. As a result you need to be comfortable wearing many hats. This can be great for personal growth, but it requires the right mindset.
During my time, there was no people management or mentorship. While my technical skills grew, there was very little opportunity for soft skill growth or thoughts of personal career development. Since moving on, I can see tremendous value in providing things like regular 1:1's with the team.
