Pros

It's a big company and you can have a good future prospect if you can get close to the right people to support you.

Cons

Always fear of getting fired or redundant (ED&F has a good reputation on this), backstabbing colleagues over for promotion and unfair managers, lots of office politics..

Thank you for your review, which has been passed on to management. You are right that the company offers great career prospects and we have many people in senior positions who started at a junior level. We are sorry that your experience was not as it should have been. 'Meritocracy' is one of our stated core values and we are taking measures to ensure that everyone has a voice, is recognised for their contribution and has the opportunity to enjoy a long and fulfilling career.

Pros

None, there is nothing good about working here apart from leaving at the end of the day

Cons

Taking lunch involves queuing at lifts for 20 minutes just to get out or into the office. Sugar Traders can do what they like. Printing takes forever. IT department is just a boy's club. lots of bullying by certain leadership in IT, and bribery is rife when it comes to selecting contracts or vendors... I cant wait to get out.

Thank you for your review. While we are disappointed that your experience has been negative, we do not accept that it is representative of our employees and we absolutely refute any allegations of bribery or bullying. We have every confidence in the professionalism and integrity of our technology leadership.

Pros

Nothing to add to from the review from the 11th Dec 100% true "There was very few Pros. Apart from a lovely state of the art building. Although Ed&F Man staff have to take the service entrance, as we were not considered important enough to enter in the main entrance like 90% of the other building tenants. Most of IT staff very nice and decent people"

Cons

Nothing to add to from the review from the 11th Dec 100% true "There was 300% turnover of staff , it was like a revolving door. Nobody stays in Group IT for very long. The Senior management have very little idea about managing staff. They rule with an Iron fist. In my experience, I felt bullied and their tactics are intimidating, with threatening behaviour to towards their staff and I also found the blame culture off the scale. There is absolutely no motivation, no training and a complete lack of investment in regards to Group IT staff. Exit interview are constantly ignored by HR as EVERYONE repeatedly complains (it is simply brushed under the carpet, no doubt filed in the wastebasket). There is NO work life balance. You work VERY long hours with NO OVERTIME including weekends and bank holidays. The Core values are simply lip service. NO respect, NO Collaboration. Just found this place to be VERY, VERY unpleasant place to work in. BEWARE!!"
