Pros
I worked as Market Operator for few months in Amsterdam's office. A band of old amateurs who were successful to install few softwares in there PCs. They are so proud to have 40" monitors! Basically they will ask you to keep an eye on monitors and to make sure that the applications do not crash. If you are a Master graduate tou will feel like wasting your time. Furthermore, they recrute people only to fill gaps in there night shifts. You can hardly get your contract renewed after the first year.
Cons
The coordinators have a bitchy attitude. They are pro " It is your fault". They will blame you for what you did and what you did not. They will look at you with authority and make accept what you are not. Unfortunately there is no room for personal growth. If you are a curious person who want to learn about subject-matter topics such as energy markets, power exchange, etc... you can expect your contact to be terminated or even to get fired. I have more than 10 years of experience and I have never seen such a hateful and discriminatory system. Am still doing my best to cure the damage I endured within Epex Spot.
