Flexibility and Management

Pros

If you friend someone in management, then you have all the flexibility you could desire. If your late on a regular basis or need to run errands during business hours - then you can without even clocking out. They don't drug test either - so if you like to have a smoke or a drink during your breaks, go for it. Its difficult for management to reprimand employees when they are guilty of participating daily.

Cons

I have seen many coworkers get terminated for reasons that are unbelievable. Management has major issues for immediate termination which get swept under the carpet and covered up. Be prepared at any given time to be escorted out the door for picking your nose. That's how ridiculous several of the recent terminations have gone down.

Setting The Record Straight!

Pros

Dear "Bonus Incentive Shortfall," I know you were actually a Credentialing Specialist, so why cowardly hide behind the title of Enrollment Specialist? We have had no turnover in that Department. Contrary to what you wrote, our CEO assembled all affected employees and took personal responsibility as soon as information was available from Corporate. I attended that meeting. Correct, it was unprecedented. It was explained that lower incentive payouts were tied to lower patient volumes and revenue, which were completely out of his control but, again, he took PERSONAL responsibility. By the next month, the program was revised, employees stabilized, and everyone has been very pleased with the results! I am sorry you are no longer here to see these results and how quickly it was addressed by the best CEO in Pensacola! I am so grateful to work for this incredible organization! Morale has never been higher!

Cons

None, now that our "house" is clean!

Pros

Hourly pay. That's about it. But no PTO, sick, or vacation time so that depends on how you choose to view that pro. Emcare is not the place to be right now.

Cons

It's gone downhill quick. All providers hate Emcare and are either getting out, trying to get out, or feel stuck:( They are not ideal for a family. If you take that week vacation with your kids, expect to not see them later while you cram your days in the week before and/or after. They will also take your bonuses at the last minute and drop your hours. At times, your lucky to get your contracted full time hours.
