Pros
Good work culture encouraging employees to collaborate and give their best with high quality standards.
Cons
Raking-based promotion where everyone is stacked against everyone, even when enforcing objective reviews and rating, end up with people with less merit and more visibility to get on top of harder-working people. It may also create ridiculous standards where people may overdo their works for a promotion, getting a salary way below their contributions. I consider it a little unfair. Because then even medium performers here will be much more valued somewhere else.
