Pros

Only pro is that SOME of the people you meet you can become good friends with.

Cons

I do not even know where to begin with how bad of experience this job was. I can start by saying that they try to sell you on the dream of making a ton of money through your interview process when you actually won’t make enough to move out of your parents’ house. They claim that if you put in the effort then one day you could be making a six figure salary. What they are really saying is that you will have a rare opportunity to make that kind of money if you drink all of the Aerotek "Kool-Aid". What I mean by that last statement is that anyone who may have a different way of thinking or might have a better way of doing things that prove to be beneficial will be either forced to quit or will try to find reasons to fire you. This leads to my next point which is the amount of unprofessionalism that happens within the office cannot be matched. It got so bad that I started to believe that Aerotek didn’t even have a human resource department. If a real human resources representative would have been present during regular work hours I wouldn't be surprised if half the office lost their jobs due to unprofessional behavior. Now, let me explain how bad management is. Imagine being managed and treated as if you were still attending middle school. Everything you do is constantly being micro-managed to the point you will have to repeat yourself countless times on what you’re doing within an hour time frame. You start each day at 7:30am and you are not ALLOWED to leave to until about 5:30pm and that is if your manager is feeling generous. If you have something planned after work like seeing your family or maybe you have a date, you better just cancel because you’re not able to leave. Now, this is an honest statement when I say I worked very hard for the first 6 months and was one of the better recruiters within my office but after that point I did realize that all that hard work you put in will eventually amount to nothing. I won’t revisit the point that you WILL NOT make any good money at Aerotek but you will almost not gain any quality skills to help advance your career. My experience with Aerotek and let me stress that this was "my experience" was so bad I felt like I began to get physically sick with unneeded stress, anxiety and frustration. I will NEVER recommend working for Aerotek and I can thank them for wasting a year of my life.

Pros

Great people, great training, great entry level opportunity to get into recruiting and sales. If you are successful you will make more here than about anywhere else. Performing Recruiters are making $55k-$75k. Great Recruiters are making $100k+. Every large office has salespeople making $200k-$400k. Culture is 100% committed and generally cool type-A's you would want to have a beer with. The skills, drive, and sense of urgency you learn at Aerotek serve you well anywhere you may go later.

Cons

If you are just looking for a low-commitment 8-5 job while posting on social media about where you are partying that night...you will not like Aerotek. Success requires an all in approach both in work ethic and active support of the culture. That is not for everyone. There are Political Science grads 3 years out of college making $200k+, but there is a price to be paid. All the tough work comes first. If you are not up for the level of work and commitment, Aerotek is not for you. If you are, none of this is really a "con" As far a real cons go, the benefits are only OK, and finding work/life balance is pretty difficult.
