Pros
• Start-up culture, but without the “cult” feeling • Growing start-up; supported by a financially stable parent • More “mature” than other startups; you don’t have to worry about getting hit in the head by a nerf gun while you’re working on a report • Shuttle service from the south bay • Great, product-focused CEO • Good work-life balance
Cons
• I can’t believe that I am saying this but there are not enough restrooms in the office; there are lines at all hours of the day • Nobody seems like they get promoted • Non-technically minded people do have problems here - its a complex product • Company is pushing more “fun”, but management needs to realize that “fun” clashes with deadlines that they’ve imposed • Management needs to provide a list of prioritized strategies / goals and stick to them. Sometimes it feels like we have a moving target of prioritizations. • The company has decided to move to an “agile” environment (not only for product /engineering, but all departments), but there are no experienced agile SME’s on-staff – this is causing HUGE problems
