Cold, horrible place to work, especially for non-Japanese. Management is toxic. The "in" group is comprised of individuals that have worked at Apple Japan for 15 - 25 years; if you are hired mid-career, expect to be treated as an outsider. The skills you develop working at Apple Japan will be largly organizational and political; you won't be able to transfer skills to any other role or organization. For mid-career hires, Apple is a waste of your time and energy. Salary and benefits are mediocre at best, and certainly not worth bearing the constant harassment from management.
