Pros

Work life balance is highly valued at BGI. Whereas many IT professionals sacrifice balance for career growth or financial rewards, at BGI this is not necessary.

Cons

Career growth for an IT professional is limited. Even though BGI has a large IT organization, it is managed primarily by career managers who often have little experience in the areas they manage. Worse yet, the product management presence at BGI is comprised primarily of MBA types with no experience in web products and who insist on a vertical top-down command style of product development. There doesn't seem to be a good working relationship between technical and design professionals and their in-house clients and product managers. I've witnessed BGI make many serious mistakes. If you'd like to relive the mistakes of 1998, then you'll love web development and online product development at BGI.

Pros

Workload is manageable they don’t put too much on you. Hybrid you come into office once a week.

Cons

Some managers are nice some are not and if you have a manager who doesn’t like you it will make the job stressful. If you get a zero for QA part of your bonus will be gone and if you get 3 within a 7 month period you will have to come into office 3 days a week and be on a final and will not get a bonus, bonuses could be higher in my opinion, if your not a good collector they could be as low as $500-$700 every 3 months if your a decent collector they could be $1500 every 3 months if your a good collector they could be $2250-$3375 every 3 months but the base pay isn’t high enough either it’s 50k to 56k all around just not enough money
