Pros
Pros: - Talented Colleagues: There are still many highly capable, talented team members who strive to do their best despite the shifting landscape. - Flexibility (Manager Dependent): There is some flexibility with schedules, though it is largely a "manager lottery" rather than a consistent company-wide policy. - Unlimited PTO: The company offers "unlimited" PTO, but again, this is at the discretion of your manager and depends on your team's workload. - Legacy Culture: In the past, this was an amazing environment to work in.
Cons
- Leadership Volatility: The last 12 months have seen a major overhaul of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and CEO. This has led to constant shifts in direction and a "lost" feeling regarding the company's focus. - Layoffs and Reorgs: At least three rounds of layoffs and more reorganizations than I care to count. The focus is now on "trimming the fat," resulting in the loss of major leadership players and high-performing staff. - Eroding Compensation: Medical premiums continue to rise every year, which effectively sucks away the value of the small percentage raises you might receive. - Weak 401k: The 401k match is a low 3%, and you are required to contribute 6% of your own pay to even get that. Plus, there is a 3-year cliff for 100% vesting. - Cumbersome Evaluations: There are four mandatory self-evaluations a year. They are long, cumbersome, and use the same 6–7 questions for every employee regardless of title, even when the questions don't apply to your role. - Lack of Transparency: Despite the company motto being centered on transparency, the internal reality is anything but. - Low Morale & Job Insecurity: Morale is at an all-time low. No amount of free snacks or food can fix the current atmosphere; with so much constant change, everyone is just waiting for the axe to fall once again. - Outdated "Collaboration" Narratives: We are preached to about the value of in-person collaboration as if we aren’t a SaaS company in 2026. Leadership preaches about "inclusivity" and being "sensitive to employee needs," yet they turn around and dictate that they alone know the "BEST WAY" for everyone to work. We proved we can perform successfully in a remote environment, yet they ignore the fact that there is more than one way to work. - Offshoring & Low Pay: The company is increasingly shifting positions to APAC and EMEA where lower pay is offered. For those remaining, pay is low and does not keep pace with the industry.
