      Pros

      Clients have heard of the company. The AUM is huge. They have a massive product range. They have offices around the world.

      Cons

      Terrible management. Too many MD's. Hire & Fire. Larry Fink made 400 people redundant & paid himself $25m a year. Shows a real lack of integrity. Heard "Its just the way we do it" rather than the right way from management a hundred times. Experienced the worst line manager of a 20 year plus career. Nothing in writing, very poor listener. Clients thought he was out of his depth. Couldn't wait to get out!

      Large organization, so decision-making and processes can sometimes move more slowly than in smaller firms.

      Pros

      Plenty of opportunity to work on project teams. Lots of exposure to senior leaders in HR and the businesses. Great collaboration in the One BlackRock spirit. Benefits to support employees and their families are good.

      Cons

      Workload can be challenging at times. However, you are gaining a lot of new skills in a short prior of time and the ability to work with leaders is worth it.
